The certificate covers the learning outcomes, competences and standards of behaviour that are expected of AHP Support Workers.

The certificate aims to make sure that you are caring, compassionate and provide quality care in your work.

The certificate is an assessement of both knowledge and competence that applies across the health and social care sectors.

The video below introduces the certificate and the 15 standards it contains.

The certificate standards define the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of specific job roles in health and social care. They can be used if you are ‘new to care’ and be used to inform what information is covered during induction.

The standards have been developed jointly by Skills for Care, NHS England and Skills for Health

AHP Support Workers should complete the workbooks to achieve the certificate standards
